Where does the name "Die Maus" come from?

At the 20th of march 1924 six active family researchers came together and founded the Bremen family hstory society.

They want to use a short and striking name for the new society and named it Die Maus. Two reasons are named for this:

  • First: they met each other the first time in the very nice local Bremen restaurant Die Mausefalle inside of the restaurant under the Bremen town-hall.
  • Second: Real mice in the nature have to be very busy to find something to eat. The same is with family researchers: they have to be as busy as real mice in the nature when they want to find ancestors and all about their family history.
