Was willst Du denn mit dem Namenslexikon? Soviel erfährst du darin auch nicht. Wenn auch die Personen die heute die Namen tragen nichts mehr mit den Berufen ihrer Ahnen zu tun haben, erhoffe ich mir in kritischen Fällen Hinweise, in welcher Region der Name gebraucht wurde, um einen ersten Ansatzpunkt zu finden. Note that when you have found the explanation of your surname, you probably won't have come any closer to your genealogy since surnames were adopted so long ago. In some rare cases, a surname may point you to a family's region of origin.
